This guy in front of me in my operations management class has to be obsessed with it. Every class for the last week he shows up and opens his laptop, and fantasy is up. The rest of the class he spends his entire time on various websites for FF, he has teams on ESPN, NFL.com, and Yahoo. Good god man, there is only so much you can do with your fantasy team.

I can’t stand football let alone fantasy. I’m involved with a league at work, I let auto-draft pick my team just like last year. Soon I will have to ready my “I know what you’re talking about” face for when people say things like “you killed it this weekend!” or “looks like you had a rough weekend”.

I think a lot of those fantasy football sites picked up a lot of people who used to play the online gambling stuff before that got cracked down on in the media. “it’s not gambling, it’s just a little fantasy football” Also, fuck you Fan Duel, I am sick of hearing your commercials about the free trials. They sell that shit like it is drugs.

Fantasy football is kind of like operations management

Well, I suppose one could be playing Wolfenstein: The New Order. Have to do SOMETHING during an OM class, one certainly isn’t learning anything

Fantasy Football has always struck me as being something akin to Dungeons & Dragons for people who picked on the kids who played Dungeons & Dragons in middle school.

Seriously, it's week one and my wife and I are already sick of the damn Draft Kings and Fan Duel commercials, not to mention they are sponsoring some in-game shit too. I might blow up my TV by the end of the year if they keep up the advertisement at this pace.

As you said, there's only so much you can do. I'm in 5 leagues this year. But even with that, tweaking all five teams might take a few hours a week, max. It's not an all day thing. Although my dumb ass did forget to bench Lev Bell in one of my leagues because I forgot I drafted him. Dumbass.

I’m in a league with some buddies and some of them get pretty into it like the guy you mention, but I never really get super invested in it. I follow along, set my lineup, and talk smack, but I don’t spend more than 30 minutes a week thinking about it.

Thats probably more of a product of the fact that I don’t really care that much for NFL since I didn’t grow up near a team so I don’t have a team that I root for.
